On Monday, 29 July, police arrested a 31 year old Brazilian woman in a cocaine bust at OR Tambo International Airport. She arrived from São Paulo, Brazil, and officers stopped her during a routine luggage check.
The South African Police Service (SAPS), Hawks, and South African Revenue Service (SARS) collaborated to uncover 11.6 kilograms of cocaine, valued at R4.2 million, hidden in false compartments of her suitcase.
